Okay, you’ve made up your mind! You want longer and fuller hair by using clip-in extensions. Yay! But now… you still need to choose the right type of extensions. We offer a variety of clip-in extensions and permanent extensions. Let’s start with the question: what are your wishes and expectations? Do you want length, volume, or maybe both :)!
Once you know this, you’re already halfway there, and we’ll get to work for you. We’ll look at the product that’s most suitable for your hair, keeping your wishes in mind. The following points are important here:
- Do you have thin/normal/thick hair?
- How is your hair cut?
- Do you often wear your hair down, or do you also wear it up sometimes?
It’s always helpful for us to see a few photos of your hair. In our blog about color advice, we give tips on how to take the best photos. Important: Our color advice is based on the photos you send. If you feel the photo doesn’t match your actual hair color, try to describe your hair color. Are you looking to purchase extensions for your wedding? Feel free to send an inspiration photo as well. This way, we’ll be sure we’re on the same page when it comes to your wishes and expectations.
The Zascha Hair lengths
We offer 4 different lengths: 30cm (12″), 40cm (16″), 50cm (20″) and 60cm (24″). The 30cm reaches about 10cm (4″) below the top of the shoulder. The 40cm (16″) comes down to the chest, the 50cm (20″) to 10cm (4″) below the chest and the 60cm (24″) to the lower rib.
Which hair type do you have?
If your hair is thin or fine, you need less hair for a beautiful lengthening. The 30cm(12″)/100g, 40cm(16″)/120g or 50cm(20″)/160g will often be sufficient. If you want the 60cm(24″) set and your own hair is shorter than 55cm (22″), we always recommend going for the 250g. Since it’s a significant length, the fuller set will appear more natural. The heavier the weight, the more you may feel it. For very thin or fragile hair, it’s best to go for a flip-in or a V-part. These products put the least strain on your natural hair.
How is your hair cut?
Do you have layered hair? Lucky you! You’ll need less hair to make the extensions blend well. A good example:
You have thin/normal hair that reaches your chest. You’d like to extend your hair to your lower rib. You also have a lot of layers, including at the back: in this case, the 160g set will be sufficient.
Of course, if you want an extra full effect, you can also choose the 220g set! If you have normal/full hair and a straight cut like the model below, we really recommend the 50cm set in 220g. This will give you a beautiful and natural blend between your own hair and the extensions.

What are the dimensions of the clip-in extensions from Zascha Hair?
A complete set:
A complete set consists of 7 or 8 wefts and is suitable for lengthening. By placing multiple wefts throughout your own hair, you achieve an even distribution across the head for a natural-looking result. A full set also gives you flexibility to switch things up. For example, you can use the smaller wefts to add extra volume to your braids!
The 7-weft sets are suitable for thin-normal, layered hair. Do you have thick and/or short hair that is cut to one length? Then the 8-weft set will be a better option.
Volumizer
A volumizer is used solely to add volume to your natural hair. You should always choose a length that closely matches your own hair length. The Volumizer is the extra weft included in the 8-weft sets. For example, if you have the 50cm 220g set, it consists of a 160g set and the volumizer. You can also combine the volumizer with, for instance, a V-part. You can read more about this further down in the blog.
Bonus tip: Are you happy with the volume of your natural hair but does your hair tend to not hold a curl/wave? The volumizer provides extra ‘hold,’ making your curls last longer and stay intact better. You can read more about this in our blog on curling and straightening your extensions.
V-part
Another option for thin and fragile hair is our V-part. This weft is placed on your crown area, reducing the strain on your hair because of the weight of the extensions. Initially, the V-part is most suitable for more volume. However, combining it with a volumizer also makes it suitable for lengthening. By placing the V-part on your crown, the clips are less likely to show because the hair of the V-part falls over them on all sides. The Flip-in
As a Zascha team member, I shouldn’t have favorites, but this product definitely makes my top 3! The Flip-In is perfect for adding both volume and length. It works best for fine hair, layered hair, or hair that isn’t cut bluntly at the ends. Thanks to its nearly invisible wire and wide band with clips, you’ll achieve stunning results in no time, and it’s incredibly comfortable to wear. Ponytails & Buns
The Ponytail and Bun are perfect for quickly creating a bun or pony. The Ponytail is 50cm (20″) long and works with velcro and a pin. It’s less suitable for thin and fragile hair. The Bun however, is very much suitable for this type of hair. It’s a little shorter than the ponytail, but wearable in 2 ways (as you can see in the picture on the right). Pinned up in a bun or in a voluminous ponytail. Which one will you choose?
Fill Ins
A mini set with big potential! These 4 wefts (2 two-clip wefts and 2 one-clip wefts) provide extra volume and help create a seamless blend with your extensions. The Fill-Ins are perfect for combining with other products. The most popular combinations?
- The Volumizer
- The Flip-in
- V-part
Extra fun: The Fill-Ins are often purchased in a different color to add more dimension or create a Face Frame effect. This lets you experiment with your hair color without having to dye it. For the best results, we recommend having these Fill-Ins cut to your desired style by a hairstylist.
Weaves, suitable for permanent installation
If you’re looking for extensions you can wear 24/7, we wholeheartedly recommend our weaves. The weaves undergo a different treatment, making them suitable for sleeping and showering.
We’re especially proud of our Secret Wefts! These extensions have an ultra-thin base, allowing you to wear your hair up without the wefts peeking through. The braids
Finally, we have the braids. These are perfect for creating beautiful, full braids, making them a favorite among hairstylists and brides-to-be! The Braid is a one-clip with a lot of hair and is available in 50cm (20″). This product is often used in combination with a set to create the most gorgeous, often boho-inspired, hairstyles. All braids (except Espresso) are mixed colors, so they blend easily with different shades of blonde and brown.
