What is a Weave/Secret Weft?
A Secret Weft/weave is suitable for permanent wear in your hair. The 50cm weave/weft is one long track approximately 65cm wide. The 50cm weft weighs 40 grams. The 40cm Secret Weft weighs 35 grams, and this track is 55 cm wide. Thanks to their extremely flat attachment, they offer the advantages of hand-tied wefts (super thin) but without the drawbacks: you can simply cut them to size! The wefts do not have a fold-over (a folded edge of hair) like normal (machine) wefts. This makes them invisible and very comfortable to wear. Our Secret Wefts are also made from the best quality hair with the fullest ends available on the market. This means you need less hair for more volume.
What exactly is the difference between clip-ins and weaves?
Weaves are more costly because more specific details are involved in the processing. The following points are important:
1. The type of hair.
For our weaves, we use Cuticle Indian Hair. This hair is similar in structure to European hair and is donated in temples in India. Before the hair is donated, and before we color it to the desired shade, it has never been dyed or chemically treated. So, for our weaves, we select the very best quality donor hair.
2. The processing
The processing and dyeing of the hair are done in a special, gentle way. When the hair has gone through our mild coloring process, we call it cuticle hair. This hair is of even better quality than 'remy hair', because the hair cuticles remain intact during this process. This results in a longer lifespan than remy hair, lasting certainly 8-12 months and in some cases even over a year.
3. Keep it natural
No silicones are processed into the hair. This is the case with our clip-ins. To keep the hair of the clip-ins beautiful for longer, there is a silicone coating that will slowly wear off with washing and wearing.
4. The origin

How many wefts do I need?
This depends heavily on the thickness and style of your own hair. In many cases, you'll need about 100 to 200 grams for an extension. Do you only want extra volume? Then one pack of your own length will be enough! Are you in doubt? You can always send us a message so we can take a look with you through a photo. This blog provides tips and tricks for a good advice photo. It is also possible to view our products in person. This can be done by placing an order. If, unexpectedly, it's not quite what you're looking for, and the product meets our return conditions? Then you may return the product to us and we will refund your purchase amount.
Colors to dye for
We have a lot of weave colors, and we are always working behind the scenes to keep the colors as up-to-date as possible. If you still prefer to dye your weave darker, you can! We advise against dyeing lighter. For the best result and the least damage to the weave, it's best to use a rinse or a mild dye. If you're in doubt, you can always go to the hairdresser (or salon supply store) for advice. You cannot bleach the extensions if something goes wrong, so better safe than sorry!
How long do the weaves last?
With good care (see this blog) and proper placement: at least 8 to 12 months.
We always recommend having the weaves installed by a hairdresser who has experience with them. This way, you can be sure that your extensions will stay their best, and you'll get the most out of them.
