From short to long hair whenever you want!
Have you just ordered a beautiful set of clip-in hair extensions or do you already have them and can't wait to put them in? In this blog with a video, we show you step-by-step how to easily get full and long hair in a few minutes. Especially if you're putting in your clip-ins for the first time, this will help you immensely! With clip-in hair extensions, you don't have to choose between short or long hair. You can easily clip your long locks in and out. How ideal is that?
The clips are super sturdy and stable. They have a silicone grip so you can insert the weft properly and they won't fall out. All you have to do is open and close the clip-ins.
"They have a silicone grip so you can insert the weft properly and they won't fall out."
Okay, almost. But hey, putting them in is really easy! You just need to know how. What you need: Your full set of clip-in extensions and a mirror. Additionally, a clip and a soft brush are also very handy. Let's get started!
1. Brush your own hair and section it.

Start by thoroughly brushing your own hair with a soft brush. Preferably use a TangleTeezer®, this brush used by professionals can be used on both dry and wet hair and prevents hair breakage. Then, make a straight horizontal parting at the nape of your neck and secure the rest of your hair with a hair clip. You can do this with our Zascha Croc Clips.
"For extra hold, you can backcomb the hair at the roots a little..."
For extra hold, you can backcomb the hair at the roots a little and spray some hairspray on it. This is not always necessary, but it can provide a bit more grip for smoother/finer hair. Use a backcombing brush for backcombing.
2. Start with the 3-clip wefts.

Now take the weft with 3 clips. Brush it well before placing it in your hair. Start gently at the ends and work carefully upwards. You can gently pull apart any tangles with your fingers. Then find the middle of your hair and clip the middle clip into the root of your hair.
"Make sure you clip as close to the roots as possible so it sits securely."
Make sure you clip as close to the roots as possible so it sits securely. Then firmly clip the left and right sides. Do the other wefts in exactly the same way. Create a new horizontal parting just above the first clipped weft and clip in the second 3-clip weft.
3. Attach the 4-clip and possibly 5-clip wefts.
Make a parting from ear to ear directly above your second clipped weft and secure the rest of your hair with a hair clip. The set includes one 4-clip weft, 20cm wide. Place this again at the root of your parting. Do you have a set for thick hair? Then you'll have an extra weft of 25cm!
"Place the wider weft well below your crown"
In that case, make a horizontal parting about 5cm below the crown of your head and secure the rest of your hair again. Take the 5-clip, 25cm weft and clip it in just as you did the previous wefts. Now all the large wefts are clipped in at the back of your head, and only the narrow ones remain.

4. Insert the narrow 2-clip and 1-clip wefts.
The set includes two 2-clip wefts and two 1-clip wefts. These narrow wefts add volume to the sides and ensure everything blends nicely. On the side of your head, about 2cm above your ear, make a horizontal parting and secure the rest of your hair with a hair clip. Take the 2-clip weft and clip it in.
"These narrow wefts add volume to the sides and ensure everything blends beautifully."

Then, part a section of your hair above the 2-clip weft and secure your own hair again. Brush the 1-clip weft and attach it as close to the roots as possible above the two-clip weft. Repeat this on the other side of your head. Brush your hair and check in the mirror if all the wefts are invisible, especially at the back.
And you're ready!

"...Once you get the hang of it, you'll be done in a few minutes!..."
Remember that the first few times (like anything) it takes practice to quickly insert your clip-ins. If you have some spare time, sit in front of the mirror and familiarize yourself with the process. Once you get the hang of it, you'll be done in a few minutes!
